• With silicone breast implants, the Incision sites may include under the armpit area, under the breast infra-mammary fold, or with the case of saline implants around the breast areola. The surgical process can be performed with general, local or epideral anesthesia. The surgery recovery period can be up to 1 week. Sutures are removed 1 week after surgery.

In Japan, many clinics use 3 forms of "breast augmentation:"

1. Silicone breast implants
2. Hyaluronic acid injections
3. Fat injections

• Recently, hyaluronic acid injections for the breast were banned in France (September 2011). Also, fat injections are new, but can have complications that should be discussed with your doctor. Though, silicone breast implants also have complications, if FDA approved products are used, and your surgeon is excellent, your complications are greatly reduced. In the world, augmentation with silicone breast implants are the most common procedure and have a more than safe and proven track record.

Our plastic surgeons have options that range from silicone implants only (1 stage reconstruction), tissue expanders and implants (2 stage reconstruction), and autologous (patient's own tissue) with muscle and fat, or fat injections.

Gynecomastia: surgery is to correct the distortion of male mammary glands or excess fat in the thoracic chest region. Sometimes this condition can be corrected with lipo-suctioning the excess fat, but in some cases surgery is required to excise the excess fat.



Liposuction : is performed to remove unwanted fat from target areas of the body with cannulaes and a liposuction machine. Liposuction can involve both the body contours and the facial regions. Liposuction is performed under general, local or epidermal anesthesia.



Fat-grafting: is when fat is removed with liposuction and then placed in areas of the body to create more volume such as the face, lips and breast. Fat-grafting of the breast can be used in both cosmetic and breast reconstruction procedures, but should be only performed with a plastic surgeon with many years experience. There are real complications associated with this procedure.



Abdominoplasty: is indicated to correct the excess skin that surrounds the stomach area and can be a result of excess skin from bearing children, or from slight obesity. This is a very complicated procedure and should only be performed by highly skilled plastic surgeons.

Rhinoplasty(nose): is surgery to correct the facial balance of the nose to the total contour of the face. In surgical procedures, this can involve reducing nose height, increasing nose height. This can be done with reducing the cartilage mass of the nose, or inserting an implant to create height.

Mini-invasive Rhinoplasty (hyaluronic acid): is when a skilled surgeon uses FDA approved hyaluronic acid to inject into the nose to create artificial height. This procedure is not permanent and will require returning to the clinic every 5 months to 1 year.

Otoplasty (ears): surgery indicated in cases where the ears seem to separate from the contour of the head and appear outward. This surgery to reduce the appearance of open ears, is performed under local anesthetic.
